Why did you want to intern at The Sycamore Institute?

I first came across The Sycamore Institute in a class for my graduate degree, and I was immediately impressed with the unbiased way the report presented complex state-level issues. The Institute quickly became one of my go-to data sources. When the opportunity to intern with them opened up, I was very excited; I want to learn to write reports that help people make informed political decisions and use data to benefit the lives of everyday Tennesseans. Interning with The Sycamore Institute is a wonderful opportunity to take my passions and turn them into concrete skills that I can use in the future.

Where do you want to be in 15 years?

I want to be here in Tennessee, helping influence state and local policy in ways that directly benefit peoples’ lives.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I lived in El Salvador for a year and a half!

Either lobbying or campaign consulting.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
