Tennessee State Budget

A state’s annual budget is its spending plan and a reflection of its values and priorities. State budget decisions are important because they determine the tax structure and directly influence the quality of education our children receive, the health and well-being of our citizens, the condition of the roads that we travel, and the safety of our communities. The Sycamore Institute will help interested stakeholders understand where the state budget money comes from, where it goes, and what factors influence its flow through the system.
